This year I wasn't able to do the National craft month (as some of you know, I was busy renovating my basement!)...
But my creativity and my eye for beautiful creation bring me today to introduce you to Melissa from SewSweetStiches.

Melissa has a passion for fiber especially for sewing and embroidery (It was one of my first passion too!)

She makes such beautiful and intricate accessories.

I Love handmade Beauty products!

Etsy bring me the opportunity to discover handmade beauty products and I love it!
I am not a crazy consumer of beauty product but I enjoy some soap, lotion and more.

It first started when I was looking for a natural remedy for my rosacea; I found this cream and decided to give it a try!
First I was a bit surprised by the smell; I get use to it!
I love the freshness of it each morning and my skin is softer;
It doesn't make my rosacea disappear but it helps a lot.

Then few month later (playing in BNRs!) and trading, I discovered some nice soaps and checked if they had my favorite: Lilac...and Lavender.

There is a very large choice on Etsy and I am sure they are all better than industrial products.

Today I won't show you something that I made but something I bought from a great Artist who sells on Etsy!



I was browsing what people have made on a sun theme to make a Treasury and came across this beautiful painting.

I looked at it several times; it's not that easy to buy a piece of Art when you can't see in reality!...

But this piece called me again and again! So I bought it and I wasn't disappointed; it fits my room perfectly and it's a wonderful energetic painting that I am glad to have in my home.

Last Sunday I did a craft fair and wanted to get those little matchbook notepads for my customers for a free little gift!...(They loved it!).

I found this great shop on Etsy with lots of handmade goodies : Annie42 ARCreations ;
Paper crafts and more; I could have done some myself but it saved me some time and I loved how the staple doesn't show on the one she made.
I just added a little sticker with my banner and etsy shop address and voila some pretty eye candy!:

Now for the story:

Once upon a time I met a wonderful Artist on Etsy making adorable clay figurines.

She was sweet enough to accept a trade with me and made me these adorable winter friends that are not only going to decorate my Christmas tree but will also decorate my desk all year long!...

They were born in Athens and traveled from Europe to Canada to find their new home...

Artist Feature

Last Sunday, my son received a fabulous gift from JulieChristie;

I would like to Thanks her again and I'll be glad that you'll visit her shop; You will discover such wonderful pieces...

Here is what my son wrote about his marble!:

Marbles – you may think these are children's toys but JulieChristie turns them into wonderful decorative pieces of art.

The Vortex Marble is especially beautiful with a cool blue theme great for relaxing, and once you peer into the centre of the marble it's like looking out into space at another galaxy, with a wonderful sense of depth, it's very easy to get lost in it's beauty. On the flip side are swirling blues playing off each other in a harmonious fashion which is reminiscent of the wild and strange oceans.

The Vortex Marble is fantastic because it offers the sights and mysteries of Space Above, and the Oceans Below, and it will always be right where you choose to put it.

Cool Eye mask

This week I received a beautiful eye mask from 'Maceme' ;
It had a wonderful lavender smell and the fabric is soft and fit perfectly.
It will be perfect for my 8 hours plane trip this summer and I will certainly use it this summer to protect my eyes when I'll be napping under the sun !...

Polymer Clay

Polymer Clay is like 'play doh' for adult!... No offense!
I am fascinated by people who made fabulous sculptures and creations with polymer clay;
Once I tried; bought some clay, a machine, borrowed some books and made some beads; but I wasn't satisfied with my work ! May be one day; I'll give it another try !
